// about kvar

Built by people who wait for AI all day.

Kvar is the attention marketplace for AI wait states — the seconds, sometimes minutes, when a model is thinking and a developer is staring at a single line.

01

Our mission

We believe the most concentrated developer attention on Earth happens during AI wait states. We built Kvar to capture that attention ethically: publishers (developers) earn passive income from their wait time, and advertisers reach an engaged, high-intent audience.

Both sides get full transparency and control. That part is not negotiable.

02

Why we built this

Existing “ads in your IDE” products treat developers as inventory. We treat them as publishers — they own the inventory, they control the experience, and they earn the majority of the revenue.

We also saw a gap in contextual targeting. Blind impressions are worth pennies. An impression shown to a developer who actively uses Postgres, while they wait for an AI model, is worth dollars. Contextual targeting by detected stack is our core differentiator.

03

Open source

The Kvar extension client is open source. The telemetry schema is published. The auction is verifiable. We believe trust is earned through transparency, not marketing.

04

Team

Kvar is built by a small team of developers who spend most of their time in AI coding surfaces. We built the product we wanted to use ourselves.
